Lauren, a Brooklyn-based humming bird, and Alex, a keyboardist on the run, met when they were just twelve years old. At sixteen, they made their big musical debut at a local Westchester synagogue Comedy Hour. After several years of bitter estrangement, the two finally reunited as they were both browsing the same aisle for toaster ovens at the local Target. "You saucy devil!" screeched Alex as they reached for the same item on the shelf. "Hands off, bulldog!" Lauren fired back. But the spark had been rekindled, and soon enough, they were both hard at work composing their newest wayward fantasies at the piano.

Ambient pop meets speakeasy jazz in the quirky melodic songs of duo Greene Girl. Cozily straddling the line between a lullaby and an off-off Broadway musical, each set is a narrative in and of itself. Over the past year, they have played at such notable venues as The Mercury Lounge, Pete's Candy Store, 92YTribeca, and a showcase at CMJ 2009. Keep a lookout for their first-ever EP, due out in Summer 2010. In the meantime, you can visit Myspace to take a listen. Greene Girl loves you!
